The Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia (RFDS) is one of Australia’s most trusted charities and relies on the generosity of supporters to maintain its unique service to rural and remote communities. As part of our efforts, RFDS, Friends in the UK is entirely volunteer-led. We organise Australian-themed fundraising events, establish corporate partnerships, and promote individual giving to support the life-saving work of the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Additionally, our Platinum Outback Friends Programme plays a crucial role in helping us sustain this vital service.
Platinum Outback Friends Programme
To strengthen long-term support for the Royal Flying Doctor Service, RFDS Friends in the UK has established the Platinum Outback Friends Programme for major donors. Members of this programme commit to a minimum annual donation of £5,000. All donations made through the Platinum Outback Friends Programme are transferred in full to RFDS, without deduction, ensuring maximum impact and supporting our fundraising events.
Shop with Us
The RFDS DocShop sells merchandise that educates and communicates the work of the Royal Flying Doctor Service. It does not make a profit and is a key part of our fundraising events. This brand endeavor is vital in connecting with the communities we serve across rural and remote Australia. From a teddy bear to a book to a sunhat featuring our logo, the DocShop enables people to contribute to the health charity of the RFDS, including support for our Platinum Outback Friends Programme.
