His Majesty King Charles III

His Majesty King Charles III has generously supported the charity in the UK through various activities. In November 2012, during the Australian leg of his Diamond Jubilee tour, His Majesty King Charles III officially named the new RFDS Beechcraft Kingair 200C aircraft in honour of the 'RFDS-Friends in the UK' to recognise the funds raised by us to support RFDS.

Having been brought up in the bush, I understand the challenges of living in a remote area and the critical importance of medical services to that community. It is a real privilege and pleasure to raise funds for the RFDS to help it continue its important work.

My father, Fred Baird, contributed to the organisation over the years, and I welcome the opportunity to support RFDS and continue my family’s involvement in various aspects. My professional journey has equipped me with a diverse skill set and a deep understanding of governance, financial oversight, project management, and technology.

As an Australian from rural South Australia (where my family still lives), I fully understand the importance of the services provided by the RFDS to rural and outback communities through the personal experience of my family and friends. After a career as a partner at an international law firm in London, being a trustee enables me to promote and support the valuable work of the RFDS.
